- 1993: exceptional floods in Camargue
- Following the breach of a dyke on the channelled Rhône, removal of 25 000 000 m³ of water from the Étang de Vaccarès to avoid flooding of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer
Solution
Emergency installation of a pumping station of 60 000 m³/h with autonomous energy:
- 60 submersible pumps of 1200 m³/h
- 5 MVA generators
- 4 engineers present on site 24 hours a day
- Duration: 15 days
