Problem
- The customer asked us to scale a siphon to supply a backwater of the Rhône from the Jonage Canal managed by EDF: flow, water head, length of conduit and longitudinal section were given to us
- We had to provide the design note for the scaling, supervise the company that undertook the installation work, then provide operating tests and commissioning
- Once the siphon was received, providing a complete priming assembly so that the organisation was autonomous to initiate their conduits according to their requirements
Solution
Scaling 5 conduits of nominal diameter 400 mm with elbows and accessories:
- Total flow rate: 2 m³/s
- Water head: 3.76 m
- Length of conduit: 65 m
- Complete priming assembly sold:
- A vacuum pump 2.2 kW + accessories
- A generator 17 kVA
- A double-axle trailer
